Being 57 years old and needing to get healthier due to my Congested Heart Failure and Type 2 Diabetes illnesses, I decided that I needed to find a personal trainer that can get me in shape properly. I needed a trainer that understood my illnesses and limitations. I had a hard time breathing just doing normal activities so I was very apprehensive with exercising. Christy was the right personal trainer for me. She slowly eased me into working out. She went at a pace that would be comfortable but pushed me at the same time. I felt very limited but she reassured me that I could do it. At first, it seemed that I wasn’t doing much. Christy would constantly smile and say positive things. If I wasn’t feeling my best, she would work with my ailments. She would totally understand that I was trying and would try her hardest to make me feel positive about myself. When I felt bad about my slow progress, she would always tell me that slowly but surely I would get there—never any added pressure. As weeks passed, I started noticing that exercises that I could only do for 1 minute was starting to progress into 2 minutes, 5 minutes and so on. I was so thrilled when measured and found out that I had lost 7 ½ inches in 6 weeks! That’s working a slow pace compared to people who have a healthy heart and no diabetes! Exercising became more rewarding. The more she pushed my limits, the stronger I felt. I found an inspiring trainer and friend in Christy. We laughed all the time, especially when I would complain how difficult it was. I always walked in smiling and left laughing. She never wavered and always pushed me to do my best. It was like spending time with a friend at the gym. For all those who have health issues and want to improve, Christy is your person. For all those who want to do something about your self-image and is apprehensive in finding a personal trainer that understands, Christy is that person. It might seem hard at first but all worth it in the long run! Give her a try, all you have to lose is weight and inches!

I would highly recommend Christy for anyone seeking an experienced, motivational, and caring trainer. I worked with Christy for several months. At 61 years old, I decided to start using my gym membership. I was reluctant and apprehensive at first, but Christy immediately put me at ease. She started me on a program geared to my abilities. She is informative and instructive, taking time to explain and demonstrate each exercise while supplying gentle reminders on correct techniques as necessary. Her routines are challenging, but she makes sure it’s never too much to handle, as she paid close attention throughout the workout, adding or subtracting reps as needed to ensure success. Christy’s humor, patience, and in depth subject matter knowledge allowed me to begin enjoying the gym and produced definite results. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone without hesitation.

My time being trained by Christy has been nothing short of amazing. As I continued on my fitness journey, I was given the opportunity to work with Christy as my personal trainer. She helped me reach and maintain my goals that I set up with her in the gym, such as keeping myself accountable, working towards building muscle, and toning parts of my body that I had always struggled with. I had difficulty with keeping a balance in my life between my working schedule, spending time with myself, and making sure I was working on my physical fitness. Christy designed workouts for me that targeted areas that I mentioned in my goals all while giving me new workouts with each session so I wouldn’t get bored. Christy continuously produced workouts for me that included exercises that I had never tried before.
